Dear Ex Teresians,
We have great pleasure in informing that our Alumni has been formally registered with the Cooperative Societies. We are now applying for the PAN and then exemption u/s 80G of the Income Tax Act.
We have started helping in the school with the children who are not as fortunate as us to be able to attend a school like ours. We are helping them with spoken English..exactly the way Ms Saunders taught us!!! Our strategy is that first they should be comfortable with the language and words before we can make them converse 100% in English. They seem to be enjoying themselves. Sr. Margaret and three other Sisters also teach spoken English and grammar to them from Monday to Thursday . We do it on Fridays. We started on an experimental basis from 1st August 2014 to see how committed we could be.Till now there have been no complaints. The tutors and the taught are both enjoying the interaction immensely. The children are an enthusiastic lot and are keeping us on our toes. Believe me we are simply loving it!!.
We need more volunteers for this. Hence an appeal to those Teresians and Non- Teresians willing to help us with our first project to register their names with any member of the Executive Council.. It is once a week on Fridays from 3.30pm to 5.30 pm.
The membership to the Alumni is trickling in. Not at the speed we would like it to be. Still we aren't disheartened. That is what our school song tells us. Details are given on the web site. Please check.
